Simple Minds fans absolutely nailed the 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' US chart-topper question with a 94% success rate — yet when it came to naming the UK number one from 1989, nearly 4 in 10 fans wrongly voted for 'Alive and Kicking' instead of the correct answer, 'Belfast Child', revealing a serious blind spot for the band's later chart history.
While 89% of fans correctly identified Jim Kerr from a photo, not a single fan mistook him for Mel Gaynor — yet 11% of fans thought Bryan Ferry, a Roxy Music icon, was Simple Minds' keyboard player, making him the quiz's most surprising red herring.

A:Only 61% correctly named 'Belfast Child' as Simple Minds' 1989 UK number one.
